The title of this piece is David with the head of Goliath c1610. The medium that he used is oil paints on the canvas. The size of this painting is 125cm x 101cm. Caravaggio made this painting in Galleria Borghese, Rome, Italy around about 1910. He made this painting represent about David and Goliath the story where a David and goliath. Goliath was a giant that got toking down by David. In his time he moved around cities and towns a lot because he was in a lot of fights. He accused of murder and fled from Rome because someone had place a price on his head. This piece of painting is a portrait. The piece made a dark background to show the image more bold because the only light you see is the person and the head making it show out.

The piece makes me feel like it was a big fight that they had and someone won in the end of the fight showing that they more power than the other person who lost and died in the battle losing their head. This show that he lost his body because it is not with the head and you see blood coming out.

Chuck Close
He painting style is called photorealism. He use images and photograph, he used ink and a grid technique to enlarge his work that he made. The size of his work the self-portrait is 102 x 84. The work is a self-portrait and it show it is a self-portrait the mood in the piece show that he does not look happy about what he is doing. The way I feel about the piece is that he is feeling down about what he is doing. The texture looks like it is not smooth.

The colours in this piece show that it is warm and calm colours. The colour show that it is a sun set piece of work. The people in this piece look like they are trap in limbo because you can’t see their faces. It’s like a place where no one lives there no more. The techniques Giorgio de Chirico use is oil on the canvas and the surface of the painting is smooth. The movement of this painting is surrealism. When it was made was at the beginning of the First World War. The size of this painting is 85 x 69cm.
